Three Tips for Keeping Your Household Windows Clean
An often overlooked part of home cleaning is making sure the household windows shine clear and bright. For the exterior windows, it’s probably best to hire a window washing company, but what about interior? Keeping your blinds dust free is just as important. Here are three tips for a spotless window pane and clean shades.
The Right Stuff
Get the right cleaning solution for the task. Create your own solution by mixing different types of cleaning liquids with water. Vinegar works very well at cutting through water stains while dishwashing detergent restores shine to your windows. Wet a sponge and begin washing from the upper-left side, then squeegee the water away.
Wipe It Down
If possible, remove the shades from the window frame before wiping it down. If not, thoroughly clean the blinds first before moving on to the windows. Take a dry cloth or duster and wipe the accumulated dust off. Then, take the wet sponge and run it over the blinds. Use a fresh dry cloth or chamois to dry it.
Call the Professionals
Don’t be afraid to call in a professional if the job is too big for you. Often times it’s better to have a professional home cleaning company do the service because they have more experience. This also frees you up to spend time on things you actually want to do. Do price comparisons between several home cleaning services before committing to one and make sure they are accredited.
